On behalf of myself and the Libyan permanent mission to the international organizations in Vienna, I’m pleased to offer my warmest congratulations to Mr. LI Yong, Director General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and to all UNIDO member states on the occasion of the organization’s 50th anniversary.

Fifty years ago, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) was established to play a central role in supporting and connecting industrial activities within the United Nations system. Since its inception, the organization has worked towards strengthening industrial development, improving the standard of living and fighting poverty in many developing countries as well as in countries with economies in transition. It has also promoted global and regional cooperation.

During the last few years, the organization underwent a major development thanks to embracing a new strategic vision built on the following five pillars:

During 2014 and 2015, the organization focused on defining its strategic role in the constantly changing field of development, reinventing the type of activities (such as crowd funding) it’s implementing, engaging its employees and finding targeted solutions to global challenges.

We are looking forward to witnessing that UNIDO will continue to implement its mandate as envisioned in the Lima declaration (towards inclusive and sustainable development), and establish itself on the world stage as the implementing agency of Goal 9 of the United Nations 2030 agenda for sustainable development.

We hope for the return of safety and stability to our country, so that we may support UNIDO’s various activities in a more effective way, benefit from its programs and collaborate in different fields.

In conclusion, you have our gratitude and respect for your efforts and our hope for more achievements, successes and continued vital contributions to the field of inclusive and sustainable industrial development.

UNIDO has a special role within the UN family and other international organizations. Established in L966, this organisation, embodies the aspirations of the world's poor peoples and developing countries in particular, addressing today's economic, social and environmental challenges as enshrined in the Lima Declaration as well as pursuing lnclusive and Sustainable lndustrial Development (lSlD) to harness industry's full potential to contribute to lasting prosperity for all. Over the years of following these noble vision and mission UNIDO has earned great authority and respect in the international community.

Today, the organisation successfully contributed in benefiting all from industrial growth, and prosperity is shared among women and men, young and old, rural and urban dwellers alike, in all countries.

Our relations with UNIDO, which started immediately after its establishment demonstrate clearly how much the organisation's goals and Sudan's potential can complement each other for the good of sustainable industrial development and affirming common economic values. This forms a vital development component in the world's efforts to eradicate poverty.

I am sure that UNIDO will continue to provide an effective forum for sustainable industrial and development cooperation among countries especially in the awake of global concerns like climate change, renewable energy, environmental threats and sustainable development agenda.

Burkina Faso's congratulatory message on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the United Nations Industrial Development

To mark the 50th anniversary of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), Burkina Faso, a member of the organization since its creation wishes to send its heartfelt congratulations for the multiple results achieved in half a century of existence.

In terms of industrial development, our country and this institution enjoy an exemplary cooperation.

Our country, like many developing countries, had many times received all kinds of support from the organization enabling it to boost its industry.

That is why we acknowledge the true worth of the recent signing of a framework for technical cooperation between UNIDO and Burkina Faso on 30 November 2013 in Lima, Peru.

No doubt this cooperation framework will be a catalyst to enable our country to develop synergies in the context of promoting the industrial sector as an engine of economic growth.

The industry still has a bright future in developing countries in general and Burkina Faso in particular, and we rely heavily on your organization to support this momentum by focusing more on innovation and environmental safeguarding.

UNIDO has gained unprecedented leadership on the international stage in terms of industrial development. Indeed, it was able to find the resources and means to include the industrial development topic among the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including its objective 9 entitled "Industry, Innovation, Infrastructure". In addition, the development of the concept of "Industrial Park" is currently being piloted in Ethiopia and Senegal. This concept will undoubtedly give new incentive and perspective to develop the industry sector in other developing countries.

Furthermore, I can assure you of the lasting and unfailing support of Burkina Faso towards all of UNIDO’s initiatives.

LONG LIVE UNIDO and LONG LIVE industrial cooperation.

Thailand would like to congratulate UNIDO on its landmark 50th Anniversary and to commend UNIDO for its outstanding efforts in poverty eradiation through the promotion of industrial development. Tasked with such challenging mandate, UNIDO has excelled in realizing its missions. The instatement of SDG 9: Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation, is a strong endorsement to UNIDO’s achievements.

The partnership between UNIDO and Thailand can be dated back as long as 1968. In total, Thailand has hosted more than 100 completed UNIDO projects with seven on-going projects and several more in the pipeline. Since 2000, Thailand has hosted the first regional office of UNIDO in Bangkok. This office will provided a base for UNIDO’s outreach programmes in the Asia-pacific region, especially with the ASEAN region, the world’s third largest single market. Thailand is determined to continue its support in expanding UNIDO’s portfolio and activities in the region.

We reaffirm our support and cooperation to UNIDO, working closely with Director General Li and his staff, in realizing UNIDO’s mandates in fulfilling the SDG goals, especially SDG 9 as a key driver toward a successful industrial development in our country.

On behalf of Samsung Electronics, I extend my warmest regards and congratulations to UNIDO on its 50th anniversary. I am pleased to express my respects on what UNIDO has achieved in many countries for the past 50 years.

During the period, UNIDO has achieved many needed and necessary works for the people in remote and less developed areas in the world. I am proud of that Samsung Electronics was a part of the great journey of UNIDO through the UNIDO-Samsung partnership project conducted in Cambodia over three years from July 2012 to October 2015 (Project Title: Creating employment opportunities and ensuring effective e-waste management in Cambodia). Through the project, I had opportunity to work closely with professionals of UNIDO and found that they were highly effective in coordinating diverse opinions from multi-stakeholders, including governments, non/for profit organizations, and final beneficiaries. With these professionals, I believe that UNIDO could be one of the pioneer organizations to make a better world.

Once again, congratulations on the 50th anniversary and the achievements of UNIDO. I wish you hold the continuous position as a frontier in connecting people in less developed countries to a better life through sustainable and environmentally sound industrial developments.

Dear Mr. Director General,

I would like to express Cyprus’s sincere congratulations on UNIDO’s landmark 50th anniversary.

UNIDO contributed extensively over the 50 years of its operation in assisting countries to enhance international trade, create jobs and reduce poverty, and people to improve their living standards and achieve better quality of life.

Its role in mainstreaming gender, youth and children policies to the rapidly progressing technological and economic environment has been crucially prominent.

The programme for country partnership is an innovative project which creates great expectations for many countries. We are particularly happy that the programme has been a success for Senegal and Ethiopia, which is in operation since early 2015, and we therefore welcome its further expansion to Peru.

The golden jubilee of UNIDO is marked by the start of a new era which brings new goals and targets. The adoption of the sustainable agenda 2030, and especially sustainable development goal 9 “Build Resilient Infrastructure, Promote Inclusive and Sustainable Industrialization and Foster Innovation”, proves more than ever that UNIDO is the driving force to human progress, trade and industrial development and ascertains the Organisation’s leading role in international politics

While commending UNIDO’s commitment in creating conditions of prosperity and human dignity, economic competiveness and environmental sustainability, I reaffirm Cyprus’s full support to the work of UNIDO to achieve our common development goals and address the global challenges we are being faced with.

On this occasion, dear Mr. Director General, I avail myself of this opportunity to extend to you my most sincere wishes and the assurances of my highest consideration.

It gives me immense pleasure to extend my congratulations to you on this very special occasion of UNIDO’s 50th anniversary.

Over the past half century, UNIDO has been driving tremendous amount of changes and positive impact in the developing countries and economies in transition. As a specialized agency of the UN to lead the industrial development for poverty reduction, inclusive globalization, and environmental sustainability, UNIDO has been a highly valuable strategic partner for many organizations who share the same mission and vision for sustainable development around the world.

As the global hub for skills excellence and development, we believe that a better future for the world resides in the hands of young people who are educated, empowered, and inspired to use their skills for building their career, achieving economic growth, and improving the world. We have had the great privilege to work with UNIDO in raising the awareness of the benefits and importance of skills development through several impactful initiatives in Africa in the past two years and the Green Industrial Skills for Sustainable Development Conference at WorldSkills Leipzig 2013.

UNIDO has our commitment to supporting our collaborative effort in promoting skills excellence and development in countries where they are most needed. We look forward to continuing and strengthening our partnership for many more years to come.

I am pleased to sincerely congratulate the United Nations Industrial Development Organization on its 50th anniversary. Poland greatly values its strong partnership with UNIDO.

Together with UNIDO, Poland has gone a long way over the last 50 years. Initially, as a recipient of development aid, Poland benefited from the Organization’s experience and expertise while accelerating the process of industrialization and economic restructuring. Alongside with joining the European Union in 2004, we become an emerging donor. Since then, Poland has been UNIDO’s partner in taking common actions to promote and accelerate inclusive and sustainable industrialization in developing countries and economies in transition. While supporting the development of production and trade capacities, sustainable production and industrial resource efficiency, we share our own experience and expertise and forge meaningful partnerships on the line of North-South cooperation.

Over the last 50 years, UNIDO has demonstrated its commitment to eradicate poverty and reduce inequalities by providing its Member States with tools to shape industrial strategies and policies and contributing to technological growth. I am convinced that the celebration of the 50th anniversary of UNIDO will offer an excellent opportunity to summarize hitherto achievements and reflect on future challenges and opportunities, including in particular on the role of UNIDO in the implementation of 2030 Agenda and the SDGs.

Please accept, Mr. Director General, the assurances of my highest consideration.

First of all I cordially congratulate you on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of your esteemed organization.

There is a rich tradition of cooperation between Azerbaijan Republic and UNIDO. “Memorandum on cooperation in the field of industrial development” that was signed in 2000 being the first document of that kind between parties had created favourable conditions for future cooperation.

“The framework program on Cooperation for 2005-2010” that was signed between Azerbaijan and Organization in 2005 and “Framework cooperation program between UNIDO and the Government of Azerbaijan for 2014-2018” have considerably contributed to the promotion of our relations to the high level of development in the past 10 years.

It is not accidental that different projects of UNIDO have been successfully carried out in our country and many significant events have been jointly organized by UNIDO and Ministry of Economy. For example, Regional conference on industrial parks held in Baku in 2012, Baku International Industry Conference on “Industrialization in the 21st century: Trends, approaches and best practices in industrial policy” held on 26-27 November 2014 and the first meeting of the regional project “Fostering inclusive and sustainable industrial development in the New Silk Road Economic Belt: Leveraging potentials of industrial parks, zones and cities in Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan” held on 4-5 May 2016 created opportunities for deliberation of current issues of industrial development both at international and regional levels.

Considering your significant contribution to the development of our cooperation I would like to express my confidence that relationship between UNIDO and Azerbaijan will continue to successfully develop in the future.

Availing myself of this opportunity, I renew my congratulation and express best wishes of success to you and your organization.

'It is our great honour and sincere pleasure to congratulate the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation with its 50th anniversary. With its focus on inclusive and sustainable industrial development (SDG 9), UNIDO is helping countries to generate growth and decent work (SDG 8) which are essential building blocks to contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Agenda objectives of eradicating poverty (SDG 1) and reducing inequalities (SDG's 5 and 10).

We believe that the organisation is fit for purpose to deliver concrete results which help build circular economies that bring prosperity and sustainability for all. In the last ten years the cooperation between the European Union and UNIDO has demonstrated, through tangible achievements in more than 100 countries, that generating growth and jobs while moving towards circular economies, is possible. Beyond traditional technical assistance our cooperation has also helped to establish bridges between enterprises and centres of excellence from Europe and partner countries.

The implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development will require more international cooperation than ever for experience sharing, capacity building and progress monitoring. It provides a clear and ambitious roadmap for the European Union and UNIDO to scale-up and accelerate their joint efforts towards building prosperity and sustainability for all.' In this respect we consider the Partnership Country Programme approach as an innovative way to ensure that sustainable and inclusive industrialisation policies for specific countries receive broad domestic and international support and can thus create concrete and durable results that help achieve development objectives defined by the host country as well as the sustainable development goals of the 2030

Pakistan congratulates UNIDO on its 50th Anniversary. UNIDO has played an important role in supporting national efforts for industrial development during the past five decades, especially in developing countries. Laying the foundation of a modern and industrialized economy is a critical requirement for creating shared prosperity.

UNIDO has a longstanding relationship with Pakistan. The visit of Director General Li Yong to our country in February 2015 provided a useful opportunity for promoting our partnership with UNIDO. We appreciate UNIDO’s role in implementing Trade Related Technical Assistance Programme in the country. Pakistan’s National Vision 2025 emphasizes the importance of industrialization to promote sustained, indigenous and inclusive economic growth. We will continue working with UNIDO for further strengthening the Organization’s programmes and projects in Pakistan.

Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development (ISID) is an important initiative of UNIDO to promote industrialization as a driver for development. We take this opportunity to commend the efforts of Director General Li Yong and the dedication of the entire staff at UNIDO in carrying out the unique mandate of the Organization. We wish the Organization well for the future.

On behalf of the International Islamic Trade Finance Corporation (ITFC), Member of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group, I am pleased to congratulate the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), on the occasion of its 50th anniversary.

Over the past half century, UNIDO, valued by its high expertise and expansive and dynamic network, has exerted tremendous efforts in promoting and accelerating Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development (ISID) in Developing Countries and Economies in Transition. Its notable endeavors have certainly contributed to the Sustainable Industrialization for shared prosperity since the Lima declaration, adopted at the fifteenth session of the UNIDO General Conference in 2013. This, certainly, will ensure that the Organization remains well-situated to contribute to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted in September 2015.

In the area of trade development, and through the concept of ISID, UNIDO continues in its efforts to enable Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in developing countries to boost trade by enhancing the competitiveness of their goods and services, and connecting them to global value chains. This will support efforts of our Member Countries to create jobs, generate income and thereby contribute to poverty reduction.

As the UNIDO marks this milestone, I would like to recognize the important work it does to advance global development, promote equitable growth and improve people’s lives around the world, and we assure of ITFC’s continued support to UNIDO in pursuit of common objectives.

ITFC looks forward to continuing its work with UNIDO for the next 50 years, and beyond.

This year, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) completes the 50th year since its foundation. It is our great honour as well as pleasure to congratulate this important international organization, which has promoted and facilitated growth and development of its members for half a century.

Over the many years of fruitful cooperation between the Sovereign Military Order of Malta (SMOM) and UNIDO, we have been privileged to witness the most important role this organization plays in spreading sustainability, growth, development and enhanced opportunities by providing helpful assistance to its various members. In doing this, it has become an most important factor of international cooperation within the framework of the United Nations.

However, today’s world is becoming increasingly complex, and the challenges we face are greater than ever. This stresses the potential that UNIDO has, and its importance in the years to come. Spreading prosperity, driving peaceful cooperation and sustainable development will be even more important in the 21st century than they were in the past. UNIDO has achieved a great lot but there is more to do in the time to come!

The Sovereign Military Order of Malta greatly values the partnership it has had with UNIDO, and we are committed to continue on this path of mutual support, at least for the next 50! We look ahead to plenty more anniversaries in the future, and to the many achievements of this important organization.

It is our great pleasure to congratulate the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) on its 50th anniversary. Japan highly values UNIDO's key role in implementing the 2030 agenda and appreciates the Organization's policy engagement in promoting Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development (lSID). Furthermore, we respect its role in promoting the concept of human security in both management of the Organization and implementation of projects, and in networking recipient countries and private sector in donor countries for technology transfer and cooperation.

UNIDO and Japan have been closely cooperating through wide range of activities in support of industrial development in developing countries and countries with emerging economies since the inception of the Organization in 1966. We are particularly happy that the cooperation between the Organization and Japanese private sector has been being strengthened through the active role of the UNIDO ITPO Tokyo and "Japan-UNIDO multi-stakeholder cooperation dialogue". As reconfirmed during the visit of Mr. Director-General Li Yong to Japan in May 2016, UNIDO and Japan will continue to cooperate in promoting human security, tackling environment and climate change, and implementing the 2030 agenda, as well as accelerating African development including through Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) process .

In the first year of implementing the 2030 agenda, Japan, as its largest donor remains a strong supporter of UNIDO and continues to have a constructive partnership with the Organization for its fulfillment of the mandate of ISID and the realization of a world "leaving no-one behind".

I avail myself of this opportunity to renew to the Organization tbe assurances of my highest consideration.

50 years UNIDO - 50 years industrial development. An excellent reason to celebrate!

The world is facing many challenges. One of the greatest clearly is supplying the world's growing population with sufficient food and drinking water. 50 years ago, the founders of UNIDO therefore set themselves a mighty goal: eradicating poverty in the world by promoting industrial development in the developing and emerging countries.

To feed the world we need the right technology - efficient, tailor-made and sustainable technology - and, of course, a well-trained workforce.

I have the honour to represent the German manufacturers of food processing and packaging machinery. With our technology, our services and our expertise we make an important contribution here. Not only do they help to safeguard world food supplies and to fight against food loss, they also help to generate the relevant economic sectors in the respective countries and to train qualified personnel.

Our partnership with UNIDO means a great deal to us and we are delighted to give our support, for example, through our joint project: establishing a vocational training centre in Kenya.

Over the past 25 years, poverty and the number of people suffering from hunger in the world have been halved. This is not yet a reason to sit back comfortably, but it is an outstanding result to which UNIDO has made a major contribution, which shows that it is on the right track. On the way to a better world.

Happy birthday!

On behalf of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) I am pleased to express my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of UNIDO!

For decades, UNIDO makes a significant contribution in the sustainable industrial growth, creation of new jobs, increasing productivity, knowledge sharing and technology transfer.

The adoption of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) at the special UN General Assembly Summit in New York on 25 September 2016 has set new targets for the governments, international community and international organizations. Inclusion goal 9 “Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation” into SDGs confirms the relevance of Inclusive Sustainable Industrial Development for the new global development architecture and highlights the role of industrialization as a driver for development.

We are deeply convinced that EDB and UNIDO may enhance their cooperation with the common aim of promoting development and growth, with a particular focus on inclusive and sustainable industrialization and innovation, resilient infrastructure in line with both EDB’s priorities and UNIDO’s mandate and objectives.

“On the occasion of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the West African Development Bank (WADB) extends its warm congratulations for all the results obtained as part of its mission for industrial development around the world, notably in Africa and more specifically in the Member States of the WAEMU.

This celebration, which has a special importance for the African continent, comes at a moment where Africa turns resolutely towards an accelerated industrialization to boost economic development in a sustainable manner.

I would like to take this occasion to express the wish that UNIDO, in light of the results achieved, continues to excel over the upcoming years and that it puts its cooperation with African countries at the top of its priorities.

WADB will always remain available to work with UNIDO for industrial development in Africa, notably in the countries of the WAEMU zone.”

“On behalf of the Brazilian Government, I congratulate the United Nations Industrial Development Organization for its 50th Anniversary.

Since its creation, UNIDO has played a significant role in helping to promote and accelerate industrialization in developing countries. UNIDO has also become a key player, together with other UN agencies, in the implementation of major multilateral environment agreements, such as the Montreal, Stockholm and Minamata Protocols, as well as the UN Convention on Climate Change.

Brazil and UNIDO have a long-standing partnership and have reinforced their cooperation in recent years, particularly in the areas of renewable energy and the environment. In renewable energies, it is worth mentioning the fruitful collaboration between UNIDO and the International Center for Renewable Energies (CIBiogás) in the promotion of biogas as a sustainable, inexpensive and renewable energy source. UNIDO and Brazil have a strong partnership in the environment area, acting together to promote sustainable chemical industries and to phase out ozone depleting substances.

Brazil appreciates the work done by UNIDO under the leadership of Director General Li Yong to promote the concept of Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development.

The Group of 77 and China are pleased to sincerely congratulate the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) on its 50th Anniversary.

Over the past 50 years, UNIDO has demonstrated its commitment and efforts in promoting sustainable industrial development and innovation, as well as mainstreaming environmentally sound technology into national productive systems of member countries through disseminating knowledge and providing advice on industrial policies and strategies, successful industrialization experiences and best practices, including the Programme for Country Partnership of the UNIDO launched in 2015. The Organization’s outstanding works have immensely contributed to sustainable development through promotion of sustained economic growth, creation of decent jobs, enhanced productivity, trade and development, economic diversification, value addition, resource-efficient and low-carbon industrial production, as well as clean energy access for productive use.

- Monsieur le Directeur Général ;

- Excellences, Mesdames et Messieurs les Ministres et Chefs de Délégations ;

- Distingués délégués ;

- Mesdames, Messieurs ;

Welcome Address of H.E. Mr. Karen Karapetyan

Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia

On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and me personally, I would like to congratulate the entire team of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization and Director General Li Young on the occasion of UNIDO's 50th anniversary. Armenia highly appreciates the activities of the organization, which has adopted a mission of poverty reduction in developing and transition countries by promoting inclusive and sustainable industrial development and supporting the private sector. Attaching much importance to the cooperation between UN specialized agencies and our country, we are sure that UNIDO plays an important role in addressing priority issues at the current phase of Armenia's economic development.

The priority programme sectors set forth by UNIDO are among issues demanding immediate solutions, which are of utmost importance for the economic development of Armenia, such as developing small and medium- sized enterprises, especially in the provinces and remote rural areas; establishing agro-processing and agro-industrial enterprises; creating favorable investment environment; encouraging the development of IT and innovation industries; strengthening trade capacity building; supporting investments in modern technologies, promoting environmentally-friendly and cleaner production and wide use of alternative energy; upgrading light industry and so forth. All these issues are clearly reflected in the projects implemented by UNIDO.

The Government of Armenia highly values its cooperation with UNIDO and has increasing expectations regarding upcoming programmes and their implementations. To this end, not only the Armenian government and the donor community have their unique roles, but also the private sector using national potential of entrepreneurship. It is our belief that Armenia's cooperation with UN agencies will hereafter as well penetrate into a deeper level in the light of enduring traditions already based on previous collaboration.

Once again, taking the occasion to congratulate you on this anniversary, I wish you success in all your future endeavors.

Mr. Director- General,

It is a great pleasure to congratulate the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) on its 50th Anniversary.

Mongolia applauds the UNIDO for its tremendous efforts to support inclusive and sustainable industrial development of Member States.

Over the years, the UNIDO has been a crucial partner of Mongolia and we highly value the support extended to my Government. With support of the UNIDO, Mongolia has been implementing a number of projects, including the Study on Strategic Directions on Industrial Policy in Mongolia which was a great guidance for national policy makers, entrepreneurs, academics and other stakeholders.

We believe that with a view to achieving the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda adopted by the 2015 UN Summit as well as Mongolia's national development goals, the continued support from the UNIDO is crucial for Mongolia. Thus, I would kindly propose to implement the Program for Country Partnership (PCP) towards a more diversified economy based on environmentally friendly industries set forth in my Government's Action Plan.

I thank you look forward to the strengthened cooperation between Mongolia and the UNIDO to achieve our common goals.

On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, I am pleased to extend congratulations to the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) in recognition of their 50th anniversary. This milestone is testament to UNIDO's commitment to promoting and accelerating Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development (!SID) in developing countries and economies in transition.

Trinidad and Tobago is aspiring towards a more diversified economy that will be progressive, sustainable and innovation-driven. With this in mind, the partnership between Trinidad and Tobago and UNIDO during the last five (5) decades, has significantly contributed to our economic transformation particularly in the areas of industrial development, energy efficiency and the promotion of environmentally friendly production. Indeed, the basis for our relationship is congruent with the 9th Sustainable Development Goal that seeks to "Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization and foster innovation."

As a member of the Latin American and Caribbean group of countries, we have deposited resources into and withdrawn resources from the Industrial Knowledge Bank which provided multiple instances of technical cooperation through workshops, capacity-building sessions and the provision of industrial best practices for Caribbean manufacturers. Trinidad and Tobago specifically, is on the cusp of launching a new Manufacturing Sector Policy that will lay the foundation to enable the growth of globally competitive businesses as we endeavour to diversify our economy using an inclusive broad-based approach.

We look forward to continued collaboration with UNIDO as we strive towards economic development. Let us work together to create a sustainable future for all mankind.
